Plant-sitter instructions for people who do not know your plants
For houseplant owners leaving care to friends, neighbours or sitters.
A list of species names does not tell a sitter what to do in a particular room. A visual plant map, measured watering rule and clear do-not-do list prevents both neglect and enthusiastic overwatering.
What the workflow needs to make clear
- Number plants on room photos so names are optional
- Specify amount, method and next-check date instead of 'water regularly'
- Group no-water and special-care plants visibly
- Explain warning signs and when to contact the owner
The proposed project
Plant Sitter Survival Book tests a focused way to solve this problem. Its concrete output is: Plant map, watering rules, warning signs and a sitter-friendly care book.
The public demo can be explored without registration, checkout or uploading personal files. The proposed one-time price is CHF 39; opening the preview does not trigger a payment.
Important boundary
The guide reflects the owner's routine and cannot guarantee plant health under changing weather or pest conditions.
