How to export your chat

Choose your app. The exported file stays on your device and is read only after you select it above.

WhatsApp on Android

Open the chat and tap ⋮.
Choose More → Export chat.
Choose With media for photos, or Without media for a smaller TXT file.

WhatsApp on iPhone

Open the chat and tap the name at the top.
Choose Export Chat.
Choose Attach Media or Without Media, then save the export to Files.

Telegram Desktop

Use Telegram Desktop on a computer.
Open a chat → ⋮ → Export chat history, or Settings → Advanced → Export Telegram data.
Choose machine-readable JSON and export.

Menu labels may vary slightly by app version. Your export is never sent to us.

Privacy

Chat files, messages, media and cover images are parsed in your browser. They are not uploaded to us. A draft can be stored in IndexedDB on your device until you delete it.

Our web server may temporarily record technical request data such as IP address, time, requested URL and browser information for security and availability. These logs do not contain your chat file or book content.

No advertising tracker or behavioural analytics is used. The interest endpoint receives only language, tested price and a broad message-count bucket; it stores aggregate counters only.

Terms of use

Private Chat Book currently provides a local preview to test demand for a future physical hardcover. No sale, print order or delivery contract is created.

The product is provided for personal, lawful use. Compatibility with every historic or future export format, printer or browser cannot be guaranteed.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Swiss law applies where permitted; mandatory protections at your place of residence continue to apply.

Content rights

You retain your rights in your chats, photos and other material. By using an image or export, you confirm that you own it or have the permissions needed for the intended private use.

Chats can include personal information and content from other people. Consider their privacy, personality and intellectual-property rights before printing, giving away or sharing a book.

The Private Chat Book software, interface and original design remain protected. Your generated book content remains yours.
